Mies Van Der Rohe’s world famous Seagram building is the finest example of an International Style skyscraper- one much copied but never equaled.
Ezra Stoller, one of the founding fathers of Architectural Photography, photographed the building multiple times throughout his carrer, and he compiled the definitive collection of images of the structure. So it was with much humility that I made this image of 375 Park Avenue.
In truth my objective was to spend an hour watching the sunlight move across the facade of the building, reflect on art history, and have lunch at the Four Seasons- Its interiors have been maintained as they were when it opened in 1959.
