Eagle Street Rooftop Farms is a 6,000 sq/ft organic vegetable farm located in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood on the roof of a now defunct bagel factory. The farm brings local produce to the Greenpoint community, and hosts educational and volunteer programs with the aim of bringing city-dwellers closer to their food source.
I spent a few hours photographing the farm as a volunteer for the 9th annual OHNY weekend – a good opportunity to get a few images for my Green Roofs project.
