Thank you very much. This was taken from the roof of a construction site in a building that was refreshingly relaxed about roof access. As New Yorkers we spend so much time on the sidewalk,(and underground)- Urban life from above is one of my favorite things to shoot.

Very nice! I love views of midtown from the east and west as opposed to the over-shot northward view. The NE view looks to include Tudor City, which I think would in itself make for a great place to shoot.

Great photo. I don't know if green roofs will take off (I'm in Minnesota) nationwide, but I'd be interested to see what kind of response they get.

Fine work, as usual, Mr. Burling. Do you know if Albert Kahn is the architect? The interior reminds me of many of his Detroit buildings.

Beautfiul images Ari. For forty years I had a view of the fabulous water towers lloking west across Broadway and 11th street. I photographed them in every season and every light. Wonderful tribute from you to our city.

I am currently reading a book by Tyler Anbinder called Five Points. I am a social worker and have always been interested in the plight of the immigrants into our country...reading this book adds to what i already knew about the suffering of so many upon coming to the United States, (many came from worse or at least just as bad). But to actually be able to see the inside of the tenement building that was such a horrible place when it was built...it's amazing. It's also amazing to me that the building still stands. The book talks about how incredibly dark it was in the hallways and how steep and dark the stairs are....I am just so happy to get to see the pictures of the building. Thank you and I would like to know if there are more?
